Our proposed Gundary Solar Farm project consists of a 400MWdc solar farm and battery energy storage system (BESS), located 13 kilometres south of Goulburn, New South Wales, within the local government area of Goulburn-Mulwaree Council.

We have submitted the Scoping Report and Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Scoping Report to the Department of Planning and Environment (DPE). These reports are prepared to inform the DPE’s preparation of the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the Project. You can view the Scoping Report via the below link.

The Scoping Report addresses preliminary findings relating to social impacts and the outcomes of early community and stakeholder engagements, biodiversity, Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage, visual impacts, water considerations and flood risk, soil characteristics, and other hazards and risks, including bushfires.

Once we receive the SEARs for the Project from DPE, a more detailed phase of assessment will begin as part of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The outcomes of these assessments, along with further community engagement, will inform the Project design and impact management and enhancement. Submission of the EIS and detailed studies is expected in Q2 2023.

We will be back in Gundary and Goulburn later in 2022 to continue gathering feedback and sharing Project information. In the interim, please feel free to contact us with any questions for more information by calling 1300 873 575, emailing Gundarysolar@lightsourcebp.com or using the feedback form below.
