In Feb 2018, we signed a 25-year power purchase and asset acquisition agreement with Mid-Kansas Electric Company Inc, who already have an impressive 792-megawatt generation portfolio. This new solar facility will be the largest utility scale solar farm in Kansas and reduce loading on Mid-Kansas’s transmission line.

This project has been collaboratively developed with the National Renewable Cooperative Organization (NRCO), which worked with its member-owner Mid-Kansas in structuring the Lightsource BP partnership. Lightsource BP will build, own and operate the 20-megawatt project in Stanton County, Kansas, which will generate cost effective on- peak energy, all purchased by Mid-Kansas. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2019, and when completed, the project will be the largest solar facility in Kansas.
