The Lightsource BP North America executive team has decades of experience in the US solar market and a proven track record in developing, financing, constructing and operating utility-scale solar and storage projects. The leadership team has negotiated and developed over a Gigawatt of solar pipeline and driven the commercialization of energy storage in the US market. The team looks at new ways to utilize cutting edge technologies and financial solutions that help more Americans benefit from solar’s potential.

Kevin Christy

COO North America

Kevin, who brings on board over 15 years of senior management experience in the US solar sector, says Lightsource BP’s entrepreneurial, innovative spirit inspired him to join. He oversees the development, construction and operation of solar farm projects in North America. Previously, Kevin was co-founder of utility-scale PV developer Axio Power, helping to build the company from a lean start-up to a major utility-scale player, going on to lead portfolio development and plant operations & maintenance with SunEdison.

Katherine Ryzhaya

CCO North America

Katherine brings to Lightsource BP a deep understanding of US power markets and a history of driving utility-scale power project origination and execution. She leads North America business development, targeting opportunities where solar and storage offer the best economic proposition for power purchasers. Katherine previously co-founded Advanced Microgrid Solutions, helping to grow the company from start-up to energy storage market leader in a few short years. She also has prior experience leading power procurement for Pacific Gas & Electric and running the Western Power Markets desk for Evolution Markets.

Laurie Mazer

Vice President, Development

Laurie brings 14 years of hands-on wind and solar energy development experience to the Lightsource BP team. She leads the North American development team and enjoys working with the dynamic, innovative team on all aspects of successful energy project development including real estate, interconnection, feasibility analysis, environmental and permitting issues, and contract negotiation. She most recently lead the east coast distributed generation development team for SunEdison and before that was a developer for numerous wind energy companies.
